Please be advised that our Acushnet Branch will be closed Saturday, January 18th through Wednesday, January 22nd to prepare for our second phase of branch renovations.  The ATM will also be unavailable as we work to relocate it to the new branch entrance.  Our New Bedford Branches located at 480 Rockdale Ave and 93 Union St will be open regular business hours for all your banking and ATM needs during this time.

Open Your New Account at TFed

  • Have your Social Security Number & a government issued ID (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.) handy
  • Complete the Membership Application in one of our branches or apply online
  • Enroll in eServices: Online Banking, eStatements & eNotices

Switch Your Automatic Withdrawals

Fill out the Automatic Payment Change Request Form for each of your automatic transactions. Completed forms should be submitted to each merchant/payee that handles your automatic withdrawals. Remember to update any payees who you’ve provided with your debit card. Here’s a list of common types of automatic withdrawals to assist you:

  • Utilities
    • Gas & Electric
    • Telephone
    • Cable and/or internet
    • Water
    • Trash
  • Bills/Payments
    • Mortgage
    • Loans
    • Insurance
    • Court Issued Payments

Switch Your Automatic Deposits

Fill out the Direct Deposit Change Request Form for each of your automatic transactions. Completed forms should be submitted to each company and/or financial institution that handles your automatic deposits. Here’s a list of common types of direct deposits to assist you:

  • Employer(s)
  • Social Security
  • Pension Accounts
  • Brokerage Deposits
  • Child Support

Close Your Old Account

Complete the Account Closure Request Form to request that the account(s) you currently have with your former financial institution be closed and any remaining funds sent to you. Please remember to keep enough funds in the account until all outstanding payments and transactions have cleared.

Once ready, complete the Account Closure Form and send to your previous financial institution to complete the process.
