Social Media Fraud Alert

Posted 2/21/2023

Please be aware of a trending scam on Facebook involving the sale/rehoming of animals, most often puppies. The scam requests a low, electronic deposit for the adoption of the posted animal. Once the scammer receives the funds, they will stop contact and no appointments to meet/adopt the animal will be made. These types of scams should be reported to your local police department as soon as possible.
